Full Description
Our standard Kitchen unit is our most popular kitchen for self-converters and professional converters who want to get maximum value from their Campervan Kitchens. Designed to fit any standard SWB or LWB van (such as VW Transporter, Ford Transit Custom, Vauxhall Vivaro, Renault Trafic, Mercedes Vito and several others) this kitchen pod is well designed, easy to assemble/ fit and great value for money. Please check the “Plans” section to ensure the kitchen is going to fit in your van.
Our Standard Kitchen unit comes with the following features on the base model; 1 Tone finish, matching trim, overhead shelf unit, worktop big enough to fit either Smev 9222 or 9722 hob/ sink units, fridge opening, shelf/lid above wardrobe, double doors under sink cupboard, trap door to access bottom part of wardrobe, rear door so units can be accessed from the back of the van, GTV hinges and push-release latches.
We manufacture our kitchens in a small workshop in Morecambe, Lancashire using a dedicated CNC Precision Router. This provides perfect cutting every time and ensures every kitchen is perfectly manufactured.
Like many manufacturers, we now work with 2 materials for our kitchens; MFC and Lightweight Plywood. Our Standard Kitchen Unit is manufactured from 15mm Luxury Egger MFC. We use 15mm board rather than 18mm to keep the weight as low as possible, and due to excellent stock levels we are able to turn these kitchens around very quickly (approx 1-2 weeks). MFC is a great building material but the pay off with it is that it is heavier than the Lightweight plywood; however the quality of the material and the overall finish are completely unaffected and the price is more competitive so there are pro’s and con’s whichever way you choose to go. LONG WHEEL BASE
The price stated is based on a SWB Van so if your van is Short Wheel Base then there is no need to select anything. Please select LWB if your van is a Long Wheel Base. Please check plans to ensure fitment before selecting.
TABLE, LEG AND RAIL KIT
Our tables are made from the same material as your selected worktop, meaning it will match perfectly and offer a more flexible dining/ work area in your van. Comes with a foldable leg, adjustable rail and fixings.
VW SCRIBING
Available for VW T5/T6 only, select this if you would like us to scribe the back of the units for you to fit the walls of the van. For any other vans, scribing will need to be done manually although this is a relatively simple process. Kitchens are provided with instructions on how to fit/ scribe the units.
SINK CUT OUTS
If you have (or are planning on getting) a Smev 9222 hob/ sink unit, we are able to pre cut the hole in the worktop for you. Simply select Left Hand or Right Hand, and we will cut this for you, saving you a job when putting the kitchen together. Please note we currently do not offer the same service for Smev 9722.
WINDOW BOARDS
Window boards are made from the same material as the selected worktop colour, and help hide away any unwanted edges around the windows. They help provide a more covered and finished look to behind the kitchen units.
2-TONE FINISH
As standard our kitchens are offered as a 1-tone finish, so all the worktops, shelves and units will all come in the same colour. If however you would like your worktop, table and window boards (if applicable) to be in a different material to get a really luxurious and distinctive look, select the 2 Tone Finish box and let us know which 2 colours you would like.
BUILDING FEE
Our kitchens are quite simple to put together and many competent DIYers would have no issue in assembling our kitchens themselves at home. However if you would prefer us to do this for you to save time or simply for convenience, please select the Building Fee and we will assemble the units for you. Please note delivery is only available on flat-packed kitchens. If you would like the units building for you, these will need to be collected from our workshop in Lancashire.
